Prayer We value the importance of prayer in our worship of God. There are several times throughout our services that we are led in prayer to keep our hearts in tune with God's presence.
Sermon The messages on Sunday morning are relevant to life today. You won't need to walk away from our church service trying to make sense of what the preacher said. We take the teachings of the Bible and turn them into challenges for daily living. Challenges that you'll understand, and challenges that will lead you to a deeper understanding and relationship with God.
Lord's Supper (Communion) The early church partook of the Lord's Supper every Sunday (Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 10:16-17; 11:20-26). We partake of the unleavened bread which represents Jesus' body. By partaking of the bread we are reminded of Jesus' incarnate life, his teaching, ministry, and work-all he was and all he did. We also partake of the fruit of the vine which represents the blood of Christ, which was shed for the salvation of the world.
A Cappella Singing Our goal is simplicity of worship. We sing together, as one body, in a display of unity and love. Nobody is left out and nobody is singled out.
Offering As our guest, you are not expected to make a contribution, so, if you wish, just pass the collection plate to the next person.
Invitation After the message, the speaker will extend an invitation for those with a prayer request or a desire to become a Christian. At this time, we will stand and sing a song.
Style
Our style on Sunday morning is casual. On any given Sunday you'll find a mix of those that dress more formal…suit and tie, as well as those who wear casual clothing. We only desire to dress in a modest way that allows us to demonstrate respect for God and others.
Our song leaders and others involved in leading our service seek to present God's message, whether through song, prayer, or preaching, in a powerful way that is meaningful, encouraging, and uplifting. Our desire each Lord's Day is to have a worship that allows everyone to draw nearer to God and his family.
